The project corresponds to the second phase of the action carried out by UNHCR and TGH in 2022. Building on the achievements of the initial phase, the project aims to further consolidate the peace process already underway. For this new phase, TGH continues to work with the young people who participated in the project in 2022, to enable them to capitalise on their achievements, consolidate their skills and extend the results to the wider community, while reaching out to other young women and men.
Young people have a key role to play in supporting the peace process. To do so, they need the right tools to engage. Therefore, TGH builds on small-scale, youth-led peacebuilding and advocacy initiatives, placing youth empowerment and leadership at the centre of the project.
Young people will be actively involved in developing and implementing capacity building trainings, designing and disseminating peace-related digital content and messages (including combating hate speech and stereotypes), implementing micro-projects to strengthen community dialogue and participating in policy making within government structures.
