TGH has been working with street children in Bangui since 2011 and with incarcerated minors since 2019, and is a recognised player in the field of child protection. With the support of UNICEF, TGH is strengthening the emergency response for vulnerable minors and supporting stabilised young people in their family and social reintegration.

More specifically, the activities implemented by TGH consist of :

• identification, support, awareness-raising and referral of young people to the appropriate services;
• emergency accommodation for street children, including survivors of sexual violence and released minors awaiting family reintegration;
• Literacy training, school reinforcement for those who have already been to school to facilitate post-incarceration re-schooling.

This project is carried out with the Fondation Voix Du Cœur (FVDC), a long-standing partner of TGH in the field of child protection in Bangui.
