This project continues to develop economic recovery activities, with a focus on organic agriculture and farmers' health, in a target area of four districts. Around these themes, the agricultural cooperatives of the partner NACCFL will develop several activities such as the creation of model farms, the dissemination of resilient cultivation methods adapted to climate change via leading farmers, the creation of nurseries for the production of locally adapted seeds, training in methods of protection against chemical inputs and awareness of the risks associated with their use, etc.

The project has an impact on several levels, local, central and national. In rural areas, the project intervenes directly with the first stages of the food system, namely production and processing. In order to support local initiatives that promote chemical and plastic-free practices, access to investment is facilitated for farmers and entrepreneurs with activities related to the processing of agricultural products. Thanks to the large network of cooperatives, specific financial products are created for this purpose and replicated throughout the country.

The project will ensure reliable storage of perishable goods, combined with their distribution to end consumers.
Finally, advocacy is organized with the central government to trigger dialogues towards legislative changes.
