Programme details
This project is an Integrated Food Crisis Response in FSL, Health and Nutrition to the affected community in Central Darfur.

It’s being carried out by a consortium comprising Triangle Génération Humanitaire, World Relief, VSF Germany and AWAFI.
The overall budget for the project is $2,033,000 including $588,500 for TGH’s activities.
This project aims to address the complex humanitarian needs resulting from the food crisis exacerbated by the ongoing conflict in Sudan since April 2023, which has left over 200,000 displaced individuals and many unconfirmed deaths in Central Darfur. The project’s scope and coverage focus on priority areas where cluster severity has been classified at IPC Phase 4 and above, and where high severity across clusters overlaps, while also considering access-related issues.
The consortium, consisting of WR, TGH, VSF-G, and AWAFY, will distribute staple food crop seeds (sorghum, millet, vegetables) to 28,500 vulnerable farmers who have their own plots or other options, including training and tools. The project also includes emergency livestock vaccination support (500,000 heads) and animal treatment (62,500 heads) through a voucher system for 3,000 households. Multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) will be provided to 800 households facing food insecurity to ensure the use of seeds for planting and maintenance of livestock. Health and nutrition services will be offered in five health facilities in the mentioned localities.
TGH focuses on the activities of seed distribution and MPCA.
