Emergency response in Nepal following flooding in Bagmati Province

In 6 wards of Panchpokhari Thangpal rural municipality, Nepal, the flood of 15 July has caused significant damages in the coastal areas, roads, suspension bridges and cultivable land, forcing 16 families to be deplaced.

Due to the flood-induced electricity issues, in coordination with the rural municipality, TGH and its partners, Médecins du Monde France and Farmers for Rural Development (FRDEV), handed 25 emergency solar-charged torches over to Panchpokhari municipality.

These include 20 torches for affected households and 5 for the rural municipality.
