As part of its project to improve health conditions for the people of Yemen, TGH has been working for several months on rehabilitating the sewage system at the Al-Gamhouriah hospital in the city of Aden, with the support of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs’ Crisis and Support Centre.
On 14 October 2024, our field team had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation of ambassadors, including the French Ambassador, the Dutch Ambassador, the German Ambassador, the Greek Ambassador, the Romanian Ambassador and the Ambassador of the European Union. Ambassador of the European Union, as well as the Head of the Political, Press and Information Section at the EU Delegation, the Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy in Yemen and representatives of the Yemeni Ministry of Water and Environment.
Thanks to this intervention, the treatment of the hospital’s wastewater will be guaranteed. This will improve sanitary conditions in and around the hospital, which is one of the busiest in the city.
