Following the earthquakes on 25 April and 12 May 2015, local NGO ARSOW-Nepal ran a programme, in partnership with TGH, in the Kavrepalanchok district. At the same time, ARSOW initiated a rehabilitation and reconstruction project in 3 villages in the Sindhupalchok district particularly affected by these earthquakes: Thangpaldhap, Thangpalkot and Gunsakot.
This programme, funded by the Fondation de France, provides support to victims for reconstruction, repairing community infrastructure, protecting health and strengthening the livelihoods of affected populations.
In this specific post-emergency context, TGH is supporting ARSOW-Nepal in the effective implementation of this programme, but also wishes to enable this partner to improve its administrative, financial, organisational and logistical capacities in the long term. ARSOW-Nepal will therefore be the first beneficiary of this action, but the strengthening of its skills will enable it to better respond to the needs of the population, both in this programme and in future projects.
