As part of its health project, on 6 November the teams launched a new awareness campaign in the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf. In partnership with the local authorities, the aim of this initiative is to inform and educate young people in the region’s educational institutes and schools about HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and germs carried by humans.
During the campaign, interactive presentations imparted essential knowledge about modes of transmission, prevention methods and the importance of hygiene, with particular emphasis on the prevention of carried germs. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the subject in a friendly and open environment.
This initiative is part of TGH’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of young people in the Saharan community, by strengthening their access to essential health information.
